Buffoon fired the homeland security head, apparently because she wasn't willing to break the law as much as Buffoon would have liked. On the one hand I say let the bastard break the law, perhaps he'll get impeached. On the other hand he has broken "many many" laws so who knows if that will happen.
The head of the secret service has been fired because a Chinese spy was found at Mar-a-Largo. Not sure why the secret service is responsible for a private company. (update, these things are not connected) The entity that hired the spy is obviously run by dumb people. All they had to do was pay $200,000 for a membership, perhaps they didn't have the money. I know I don't. There's another Chinese woman selling access to Buffoon, she had ladies of the night in her last line of work I believe. I think she is under investigation. If all parties were consenting, I don't really care but it is one more publicly blunder for the Buffoon administration and it is amusing. Joe Biden is under fire for making women uncomfortable. Firstly this is not new news. He has a reputation of being creepy old Joe! Considering Buffoon has about 6 assault allegations against him, well if nobody like Joe can be in office, Buffoon must resign immediately. Do we have a deal. Biden was joking about the situation earlier in the week which angered some parts of the left. Bottom line: nobody's accusing him of assault unlike Buffoon so if it is Biden vs Buffoon, vote for Biden. However Biden is too centrist for me, so I hope that he loses the primary if he enters. | |||

I just watched a clip from Cenk Uygur about Buffoon may be unwell because he said his father was born in Germany when he was born in the US. Two problems with this. Buffoon is mentality unwell, no shit! Second problem, this isn't the first time he said this. I believe he said this in the Art of the Deal book and on his UK visit. So this alone doesn't indicate deterioration. You're not going to convince me otherwise. He said more crazy things, wind power causes cancer, republicans lost the midterms because of forged votes, Mueller report had oranges. You didn't misread the last one. Perhaps that would indicate deterioration. The other stuff is typical crazy Buffoon.
Mueller didn't find collusion before the election; this doesn't mean that a deal wasn't made after the election. This also means I was right all along. Democrats should have impeached him before the Mueller report on other charges. They still should impeac. He committed obstruction of justice clear as day, plus the illegal hush money payments, several constitutional violations, fraud before he was election. How many crimes can this guy commit before anybody in Washington holds him accountable? This is a serious question. I'll just quote what Orange Buffoon said about the central park five after they were found innocent. He "must be guilty of something". I still haven't learned the last name of the Christchurch terrorist and I hope it stays this way. Luckily people have stopped posting pictures of him on social media. I will not be reading his manifesto either. The justice system will deal to him no matter what, there's no point getting angry. Anger is fine if you can change things or entertain people. Neither applies to this situation. There's also no point of view or arguments in this situation. So the terrorist is best forgotten about and the focus must be on the victims. I did watch Leaving Neverland and I left with one conclusion, the parents were idiots. One quote stuck with me "He could go anywhere, he could do anything, but he wanted to spend time with my son". That sounds like a major red flag to me. The parents were idiots. I am not victim blaming, the parents were not the victims. Of course Jackson should have faced justice, but he was rich, so that didn't happen. It was mostly an one sided movie but there's also the settlement, multiple other court cases, medical book material found at his home. It's sad to think a guy that I admired in my younger days did those things. I guess that's life. | |||

There has been a terror attack in Christchurch, New Zealand where I live. The target were Muslims. I don't feel like addressing anything else. I can say I think the government has the right solution. Luckily they appear to be following the Australian solution rather than the US which frankly offers no solutions whatsoever so massacres keep happening. Luckily we don't have the NRA buying off politicians. Nobody needs access to military grade weapons except the military. I don't care about your sport or duck shooting. People claim they're being punished due to the attack. Are you being punished by the government not allowing you to have tanks or nuclear weapons? I know they're taking it away but the fact is countries without assault rifles don't have these types of attacks. For me the real question is why after the dozens of massacres in the US those weapons were still able to be purchased here? Some of those lives could have been saved. You can't kill as many people with other types of people with other types of weaponry, that's just a fact. Also this is proposing a solution, not politicizing a tragedy to be clear. I don't accept people are politicizing a tragedy by proposing solution. If you don't have a solution it would be more likely to happen again.
The terrorists will probably claim Muslims are the violent ones. This is not true. Many groups have their radical fringes; they do not speak for everyone in the group. The only violent ones here are the white supremacist terrorists. I was once accused of defensive of Muslims. I am not defensive of Muslims, I am just not a bigot. The problem is that people believe things about the Muslim community that are just not true. People prefer to hate than fact check and their ideas accumulate. Sometimes it leads to this. Some people believe that Michael Jackson's music should be gone because of his alleged abused. I say alleged but honestly I am just saying alleged for the sake of saying alleged. I believe he was a predator. I never believed he was, but after medical book material with graphic images was found at his home, I really don't see any other explanation, sorry. Plus he did settle a court case. If you don't believe he's a predator, you probably have a bad case of blindness due to emotional attachment. I don't want to argue with people online about this, I don't care what you believe. Maybe I am wrong. Allegations go back 25 years, and that is my problem with this. Suddenly they decided to take away his music? Huh? It's possible that the combination of the documentary and the modified culture lead to this. Perhaps it is a sign of culture evolving.
If you've been a victim of abuse I can understand why people celebrating such a man make you uneasy. However the music industry full of creeps and abusers; mostly to a lesser extent than Jackson's allegations. The sad reality is that you'd exclude a lot of artists depending of what threshold you start the acceptable level of behaviour. Thinking about it objectively this doesn't really affect my life and doesn't really hurt anybody, so whatever. I don't really care if he isn't on the radio but would point out they should have done that when he was alive for the sake of consistency. I also see why people may think they're punishing the fans. Ultimately I have better things to worry about than whether Michael Jackson is allowed on the airways. | |||

Commander Bone Spurs is in Vietnam (finally) he has done a deal with Kim Jong-un. I use the term deal loosely as it asserts North Korea will scale back nukes but the US is not going to verify anything. In other words it's nothing. My best interpretation is that the US government knows that North Korea will not give up their nukes so they wanted to do a deal, without doing a deal. Farron Cussins speculates that Orange Buffoon just wants to build towers in North Korea; although I really don't think that would be worth his while. He bankrupted casinos and tried to sell Vodka to Russians, even if it is bad business sense, that is totally his M.O.
Michael Cohen testified against Orange Buffoon, some notes He didn't plan on winning the election, so my first instinct was right. He knew about the tower meeting, not surprised. He paid back Cohen the hush money payment after the election and it was solely because of the election that he paid. Again not surprised and he theoretically could be impeached over this.. He knew about the Wikileaks email dump before it happened. Cohen threatened Buffoon's schools not to release his grades. Proving my point that he has always been an idiot. Apart from the last I'm not surprised by most of it. Everyone is saying bombshells but frankly I kind of assumed most of the points already. I did go back and forward on whether he wanted to win. I'll take the word of his lawyer. Meanwhile in New Zealand the Tax Working Group recommended a Capital Gains Tax. The over cynical side of me says that they must have built a time machine as this was Labour's policy in 2011. I am not entirely clear why people say it'll be too complicated considering most of the OECD has it. You tell them that they shift the goal post saying the US has it and it hasn't reduced inequality, which completely ignores the fact that since the Regan administration taxes have gone down, which ironically is an argument for more taxation. A quick look on Wikipedia reveals there are about a dozen countries with higher income and sales taxes than us. I am not arguing for a C.G.T. here but facts are facts. I say we tax Facebook and block the site if it doesn't pay, because if it doesn't pay at least the fucking site will be blocked. Jenny Shipley and other Mainzeal directors were ordered by the High Court to pay combined compensation of $36 million to Mainzeal creditors. My only point is why do right winger leaders suck at business? Rodger Douglas had a failed pig farm. George W Bush had a failed oil company. I for one am grateful a national emergency has been declared. The president is an idiotic lunatic. One should have been declared on inauguration. Of course it's not the reason Orange Buffoon declared one, he just wants funding for his ridiculous border wall. A border wall that is completely unnecessary as crossings has remained stagnant for years, more drugs are found at legal ports of entry, undocumented immigrants commit crimes at lower rates because they don't want to be sent back, the economy feeds on immigration and people overstaying their visas is a good portion of illegal immigration. Additionally people can just dig under walls. So there is no emergency and even if there was a border wall wouldn't fix it.
Orange Buffoon said he "didn't need to do this" in reference to the national emergency. I'm not entirely sure that he knows what an emergency is. I predict that this will get struck down in court which would give Orange credibility to say to his moronic base that he did everything possible and but the wall could not be built. Which ignores the fact that he could have gotten it very easily by holding the tax cuts hostage, luckily he's a complete idiot and never thought of this. Bernie Sanders is running for president. Cue the hatred from the establishment because he would represent the people instead being a corporatist. I hope that he wins. Elizabeth Warren and Tulsi Gabbard are good enough choices but they have their issues with electability. He has name recognition, filled stadiums of people last time and has a constant net positive approval rating. On the other hand he will be constantly demonized especially in the media. He will be a massive gamble but I say roll the dice. Ironically Orange Buffoon have conditioned a percentage of people to hate the media so that may lessen the effect. While true that he didn't win the primary last time 40% against the "Clinton machine" with the media being favorable towards Clinton was a good effort, he did even better with independents. Money could be a problem but I believe Orange Buffoon won with less money than Clinton so who knows. | |||

Amy Klobuchar is running for president, I don't know who she is or her record. I do know she's not for Medicare For All so we can put her in the centrist category. She has barely been featured in progressive news shows which tells me that she's not that amazing and the lack of a public profile does not tell me that she has prepared well for a run. Meh.
Elizabeth Warren formally announced she's running for president, confirming what everyone already knew. This week I feel like a rant: In New Zealand someone spotted an advertisement saying \'stop gender self identification, call your M.P. today". I bet these are the same assholes who would say the left is all about identity politics, while they spend time and money advocating against an identity issue. Why is self identity a problem? Why? These people should mind their own business. Right wingers say that the left wants to control people's life's, well what the fuck are you doing? If this isn't controlling people's life, I don't know what is. Self identification isn't an actual problem. CLIMATE CHANGE IS! IT IS CAUSING WILDFIRES, FLOODS AND OCCASIONALLY EXTINCTION OF ANIMALS, CAN WE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT??? It will only get worse causing food shortages and even more natural disasters. No matter how many times President Orange Fuck Face tweets about it's snowing so there's no global warming, 99.7% of scientists say that climate change is happening. Unlike him they understand the difference between the global temperature of the climate and a cold day. Self identification really doesn't affect anyone but the people who want to identify as their preferred gender. The same people who call people on the left snowflakes are spending money on an issue that really doesn't affect them. I also have no time for people saying Star Wars is ruined because they made characters black. Or they made Buffy black, I'm a little snowflake so I'm melting down over fiction I don't have to watch. Venezuela had its election and it was not democratic. Countries are using this to get dictator out of power. Putin also runs rigged elections I don't remember the same calls to get him out of power. Speaking of clusterfucks the US has pulled out of a treaty which bound them to stop building nuclear weapons. Russia has responded by saying that it will begin developing nuclear missiles. Clusterfuck! Richard Ojeda left the Democrat primary race. He felt going up against the corporate machines was pointless for the average man and didn't want people to waste their money. I didn't think that he had a hope in hell anyway. Cory Booker is running for president, he's a Wall Street Democrat. I don't have much to say, government is still shut down. You could end the shut down in two words: 25th amendment! The president is literally too crazy and stupid to keep the government open. "Bye bye" The republicans enable Buffoon. They also could open the government tomorrow if they wanted, through overriding a veto. They're choosing not to. The republicans deserve equal blame. Also the felonies are piling up. Impeachment could be an option, if the republicans had guts, which they don't. Yes blame the fucking republican politicians for this mess. Maybe they should just say they're giving him border wall funding but not put it in the bill, it's not like he will read it.
Julian Castro, Kirsten Gilibrand and Kamala Harris are running for president. Julian Castro comes off as a extremely fake corporate politician, actually all three do. Kamala Harris is famous in progressive circles for not prosecuting One West bank which ripped off people. The head of it is now the treasury secretary. Drain the swamp? Yeah right! Kirsten Gilibrand was a Corporate Democrat two years ago but after 2016 she's suddenly a progressive Democrat. Even if you believe she's change there's more reliable progressive Democrates in the race. Gilibrand is more savvy than Hillary Clinton about pandering to the left. I got the impression that Ana Kasparian thought that Kirsten researched Ana's political positions and was pandering to her. She said that her campaign will be about gender issues, which I take as code for "I'm going to do fuck all about income inequality". No to all three. | |||

The US government is still shut down. It is affecting White House meals so Orange Buffoon ordered stacks of McDonalds and other fast food. I am not making this up, which is a common phrase I use to report on this administration because everything is so fucking ridiculous. You can see pictures on Twitter of him smiling near stacks of fast food, he's a fucking clown. It isn't the biggest problem of the shut down. National parks have gone to shit and workers are forced to open up GoFundMe campaigns because they aren't being paid. TSA workers are not showing up again because they're not getting paid. Having fast food at the White House isn't the biggest problem however replacing prepared meals with commercialized fast food is wonderfully symbolic of this administration and perhaps the Republican approach to governing in general.
Tulsi Gabbard is running for president; I at first was really enthused but after more information has come to my attention Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren would probably be better however Tulsi would be a much better choice than any of the corporate Democrates. Political hack Howard Dean has been attacking her anti gay past. OK let's look at the Clintons' anti gay past. Bill Clinton signed anti gay legislation and Hillary Clinton didn't support equal marriage in 2008, Hillary I believe came out in support of equal marriage in 2014 which was two years after Tulsi Gabbard did. Hillary and Obama were allowed to "evolve" on the issue but Tulsi Gabbard is the devil, fuck off! Her father was an anti gay extremist (such people are more likely to be closeted homosexuals, just throwing it out there) and Tulsi got sucked in to his hate but is now supportive of gay rights. The Human Rights Campaign gave her 90%-100% on GLBT rights. I don't know what else these people want. Before people complain I know Hillary is not responsible for Bill's signing of anti gay legislation, I agree but I don't remember her speaking out at the time either, her record isn't squeaky clean and this was another thing. I didn't want to discuss Hillary Clinton's past or Hillary Clinton at all but people are bitching about Tulsi's past and they were happily supporting Hillary Clinton just three years ago. What the fuck? Tulsi is supportive of Medicare For All and Cannabis legalization. She is generally known as being anti war and has done things like introduced the Stop Arming Terrorists Act and wants out of Afghanistan. However her foreign policy is also problematic. She is OK with drone strikes and even torture under the right circumstances. Maybe she's ignorant on the fact that drone strikes kill up to 90% civilians and torture often leads to the wrong intel. What really pushed me over the edge was learning that Elizabeth Warren might be more willing to regulate corporations more than Tulsi. Tulsi is apparently in favor of less regulations but I have not verified this. If that turns out to be wrong. I will reconsider my position. David Pakman said this but all I can find on Google is Tulsi being supportive of regulations. She also has ties to right-wing nationalists in India; it's possible that she has too much baggage. Gabbord endorsed Bernie in the primaries, Warren did not. This is important as it speaks to her courage. Conclusion, again if she's the last progressive standing I'd pick her but I'd probably wait for the debates to see which progressive I would favor. | |||

I just heard about this. You know Paul Manaford: Trump's Treasonus campaign manager? (apologies for using his name but couldn't resist the word play) It turns out Manaford's lawyer's gave a document to prosecutors but redacted stuff out. Apparently they don't know how to redact effectively as prosecutors could highlight the redacted parts in the computer document that the lawyers sent and the letters showed up. How incompetent is that? Why is everyone even remotely associated with the Buffoon campaign either a criminal or completely incompetent? You can't make this shit up! Apparently money doesn't buy competent people. He was feeding Buffoon's polling data to people in Russia; a surprise to nobody!

Everyone thinks Elizabeth Warren is running for President; she formed an exploratory committee which pretty much confirms she is. As I understand it she's a tad to the right of Bernie but they believe similar things. I note she hasn't joined the Justice Democrats and didn't endorse Sanders in the primary. She has been speaking to big cash donors too. On the other hand she's basically responsible for the CFPB and has lectured on economic issues; her lectures are very interesting. I doubt she'd be a neoliberal but how she'll handle the republicans would be critical. If she's not a push over it'll be great and I think she's fairly strong, just needlessly responds to stupid attacks. I was going to say something positive about Orange Buffoon and the Republicans but the government is shut down because Orange Buffoon had a tantrom over the wall again. Sigh.
The positive things were Buffoon ordered troops out of Syria and a criminal justice reform bill was passed. This is good news. There's speculation that the Syrian situation was ordered by Putin. However even if true this should be viewed as a positive even if the people making the decision are scumfucks. The Orange F Buffoon Foundation has been shut down, F for fuckwitt. I just make shit up as I go along. It was ordered to be dissolved because Orange Buffoon was using it as a bank account whenever he felt like it and that's illegal. Lock him up! Lock him up! I think Ivonka may also be in trouble for hiking the price on Buffoon properties when the Republicans used them for events. She and her husband are also involved in several other lawsuits. It's really not a good time for the Buffoon family. That makes me happy! The senate held hearings with the Google CEO recently and it was a bit of a shitshow. 3 senators asked about iPhones; they aren't even made by Google. Luckily I wasn't there as I probably would have called them idiots. Speaking of idiots the Republican senators wanted to know why a picture of Orange Buffoon shows up when people type idiot into Google Image Search. As someone in the search engine optimization field. Let me explain. Shortest answer: He's an idiot Short answer: People think he's an idiot. Regular answer: People think he's an idiot and regularly use the word idiot near pictures of him. This includes using the word in the content around him, the image file name and the ALT tag. It's possible that the title, the file name and how many links are going to the page has an effect too. I suspect if enough sites do this ones with strong backlink profiles and/or social signals will rise to the top but I could be wrong on this. | |||

Micheal Cohen was sent to prison for three years and has implicated Orange Buffoon in two federal crimes. If this was a Democrat the Republicans would have started impeachment proceeding last year. Orange Buffoon is probably a criminal and needs to be impeached. It doesn't look like it will happen on this occasion as Republicans don't appear to care. The one up side is maybe an alleged criminal president would mean an easier victory for a Democrat in 2020, though it appears you can never rely on the Democrats not to fuck up an election.
Speaking of which, no to Beto O'Rourke. The guy couldn't beat Ted Cruz and the only reason why people bothered with him is that people hated Ted Cruz so much. No to him and no to Richard Ojeda too. Though his straight talking has a better chance of defeating Buffoon who he also voted for, which also tells me he's not the sharpest knife in the draw. However a straight shooter that voted for Buffoon running against Buffoon might be interesting though. However I thought that electing Buffoon would be interesting, and it is but also a total disaster. Doing things based on my morbid curiosity is a bad idea. Both of these guys lost their last races and if you lose against Republicans I get to judge you for it. The world again laughed at the Buffoon administration as they sent a coal advocate to a meeting on climate change. He was giving a speech, the room started laughing. George H.W. Bush died. Former president, ass grabber, republican. As far as awful Bush presidents, he was the better one. Also possibly the best Republican president since 89. He was still horrible and invaded a country and caused many deaths including by ignoring the AIDS crisis for half of his presidency. His idiot son just caused more damage. George W and Jeb, obviously George H.W. and Barbra had awful genes. Pretty sure if those were my kids I'd get myself fixed.

| Brazil has a new lunatic president, he's basically a fascist version of Buffoon, that's pretty fucking fascist. The Amazon is now in jeporady. This will make climate change must worse if they reduce the size of it. Speaking of Amazon the company Amazon raised its wages to at least $15/hour but when the media was done covering that it took away their stock options. Most employees still get slightly more. But wait there's more. They're opening a new headquarters in New York but have negotiated a deal to get $8,000 per employee. Basically it's welfare to one of the most profitable companies on earth. "Congratulations, you got played!" As someone else points out if the money was directed towards small businesses at least they pay taxes. I have a message to people who talk about Hillary Clinton running for president. SHUT THE FUCK UP! I am sick of certain progressives constantly bitching about Hillary Clinton, they are as bad as right wingers. If she makes an announcement I'll ridicule her at that time. Until then I am not discussing Hillary Clinton running for president, because she fucking isn't. Democrats have also picked up a few seats in the House since last week. On the terrorism story in our last story, it occurred to me that terrorism is usually done you're powerless. Orange Buffoon is the President, at that time the republicans had both houses. Buffoon whines and bitches so much that he had deluded his supporters into thinking the most powerful man in the world is a victim.
My analyst of the midterms result is meh! The republicans lost the House but kept the Senate, which basically means an impeachment is unlikely, which is a good result for the President. Of course I wasn't suggesting they impeach without cause, but I'm pretty fucking sure there's cause. Some pundits believe that Orange Buffoon had a decent result from winding up his base. This is something left-wingers should do in a legitimate way; energy helps you win! Apart from that, some corporate Democrates lost, so did some Justice Democrats. Some Justice Democrats won, go them. Some Justice Democrats losses in red states were smaller than the corporate Democrats, point of interest. Some progressive ballot initiatives won in red states such as higher minimum wages. The results wasn't good, but it's not all bad either, meh. Jeff Sessions was forced to resign. This isn't good. This includes registering 7 businesses in the country at the time of the election and having them staying at his hotels. The government of Turkey is not that great either, it's a battle of fundamentalists. There are some more moderate Muslim governments but they are neither Turkey or Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is also committing a genocide in Yemon. The world is ignoring this. In the US apparently genocide is OK as long as you're the one selling them weapons. Saudi Arabia needs to be heavily sanctioned.
Bombs were sent to current and past Democrat leaders. It's a good thing that the bomber was incompetent and nobody died. USA, take note, you should probably commit your leader. Since last week 3 or 4 more women have claimed that Brett Kavanaugh abused them. Was Bill Cosby unavailable to be a judge? This comes down to simple numbers. 5-8% of sexual abuse allegations turn up to be false. The idea that 4-5 women are lying about Brett's character is terribly unlikely. Once 3 women come forward, yeah that doesn't look good. I am not saying that less than three women are not creditable but if you're overly skeptical about allegations I would hope that three women coming forward would at least give you pause about a person. Even two would give you at maximum a 4% false rate. Of course it doesn't mean that there's definitely something there but it isn't very likely there is nothing there. Even with a single accuser a 8% false rate isn't very high so you should at least be cautious before disbeliefing.
A lot of people didn't find Brett creditable in the hearing because he did things like lie about what a devil's triangle is. It's not a threesome, according to Brett it's a drinking game that nobody has heard of. People that were in his class were tweeting that he was lying. Also apparently mentioning a women's name in his yearbook or something was not about getting laid it was about having a crush. If he didn't do unbelievably shady things there would be no reason to tell unbelievably obvious lies. Turns out that the new Supreme Court pick may have attempted to sexually assault someone. I don't have much to add on this story. An anonymous staffer wrote a piece in the New York Times with more dirt on the white house. Everybody is talking about it but honestly it isn't revolutionary at all and many of the things were known already such as the staff think that the President is crazy and will not follow some orders because they figure he'll forget about the orders. It was known already that his more crazy orders were being suppressed, we such have some examples. He wanted to get the US out of a trade deal with South Korea but didn't notice that the paperwork was stolen from his desk so it was forgotten about. Apparently he ordered the assassination of the Syrian dictator but just forgot. Now this does sound unbelievable, but then again it's Orange Buffoon so who knows? How do you not follow up when you order a leader of a country to be taken out? Furthermore how do you not invoke the 25th amendment when you know the president is this incompetent? These people are gutless. A fun fact that came out of this: Nixon staffers did the same when he used to get drunk.
There's speculation that Paul Manaford will take a plea deal. He wouldn't be doing this if he was relying on a Pardon. Another aide got 8 days in prison in exchange for a deal, though this is speculation. If one or both give information Bernie Sanders has a bill where it'll force corporations like Amazon and Walmart to pay for a family's food stamps instead of the government. On the surface I agree but do see some issues with this; hear me out. It is disgraceful that corporations can get away with paying their workers so poorly they have to go on food stamps and if they have 2-3 kids I say that a bill like this would be great and would fully support this if it had this kind of limit. The problem I see is families with 5-6 kids. A job at Amazon wouldn't pay for that anyway, even if both people are working. This also disincentivizes companies from hiring people who have big families and they may prefer single people too. A more practical option might be to just have a reasonable liveable wage which would be enough for a family. Alternatively tying the wage to productivity which would be at least $21/hour. People may not like me tying capitalism to the number of kids you have but this is the system we live in. If you have other suggestions feel free to comment. Finally conservative snowflakes burn their Nike shoes after Nike release an ad with Colin Kaepernick. For fresh content the primary factor would be how many links from trusted websites a website has. That is how search engines work. If he doesn't want negative and shitty stories he could try not doing negative and shitty things.

If you believe what Alex Jones says is true, you need to seek mental health treatment. You have a thinking disability, are really gullible, have shit for brains, are emotionally attached to the conspiracy theories or a combination. I will not engage with you. This isn't a freedom of speech issue. They're all private companies which are not currently regulated as public utilities. They have an absolute right to kick off anybody for any reason. Them being nationalized or regulated as public utilities is problematic as their audience is worldwide. You could do something with the UN as the governing body but mention that to Alex Jones and he'll shout THE UN IS TRYING TO STICK EVERYBODY IN HOBBIT HOMES! The same right wingers who go on about free speech mostly hate government regulation of corporations. Forcing a private platform to have you post would be doing exactly that unless you want Jones to sue YouTube. It's an inconsistent position, what about the right of a business to conduct business how it likes and have the "free market" decide? This is what libertarians like Alex Jones believe. In their world and the real world the rights of the corporation have priority on this specific issue. If you want to change that, do that but freedom of speech is not a valid argument at this time. Freedom of speech is meant to protect you from the government from penalizing you for your opinion. Crowd fund a platform which gives people flexible options to monetize their content. Both the left and right would be grateful for this. This would be a more productive approach. This is not about taking something down because they didn't like it. His content was leading to repeated harassment of families with massacre victims. If you think that it is immoral or unethical to take such content down, your morality is ass backwards! Corporations don't have to take part in such activity. Though they probably only did it because they were afraid of being sued or the public backlash. This is completely consistent with how libertarians want the free market to run! Alex Jones isn't widely regarded as satire, any responsible satirist would immediately tone it down when people start to harass others. If he's pretending he's not making it clear and the consequences are the same, so that is not a good point. Is his supplement business part of the satire? I understand that you want to debunk Alex Jones but if that was truly a remedy families of massacre victims wouldn't be constantly harassed and people wouldn't be going to places with guns because of his conspiracies. People who do this are not going to listen to logic or reason. To be clear I would be against ISPs from censoring legal things as the internet itself should be a public utility, but that rule no longer exists because of the administration Jones supported. Proving my point that they want corporations to have all the power; he very specifically advocated against net neutrality. The presidential candidate that he supported was the only one to say let's open up the liable laws. You would imagine that would completely screw Alex Jones! It is true that making his audience less public does have downsides. A downside could be that this makes his followers more radical and I predict if that happens it could cause more problems for Alex Jones. Orange Buffoon went on his UK trip. Yes it was a disaster. Before the trip he told Germany it was controlled by Russia in the most obvious case of projection ever and called himself a very stable genius. I really don't think people who are mentally stable go around telling people how mentally stable they are. As Cenk Uygur says if someone came up to you telling you that they're mentally stable you would probably back away slowly. Upon listening to the news clip I had to rewind making sure that I didn't mishear. But no. On his trip he told the Prime Minister that he wishes another person was the Prime Minister; if you were compiling a list of things not to do on a trip, pretty fucking sure that would be at the top. He walked in front of the queen, I care much less about that; monarchies and protocols are stupid. I guess at least his words didn't cause someone to go on a rampage this week, that is a plus!
Mueller has indicted 12 people for hacking including trying to get into the software that controls the vote. We don't know if they were successful, but I wouldn't be surprised. I've previously said that these machines were bound to be hackable; I guess that we will in time if I can say I told you so. Go back to paper ballots. If there is even a 1% chance that the vote was not legitimate the Supreme Court pick shouldn't go through. It turns out that both picks were clerks of Justice Kennedy. This is no coincidence. The son of Kennedy has business dealings with Buffoon and it looks like his dad did a deal with Buffoon to retire in exchange for a clerk to be his replacement, possibly two clerks as part of the deal. This isn't how the Supreme Court is supposed to function but I guess it now matches Washington; it is a joke. Buffoon hasn't drained the swamp. The tariffs are continuing to fuck up economies and there is no sign of it ending. Buffoon now wants to grant himself king like powers to continue the trade war without interference from congress. People warned he wants to be a dictator and if this goes through this would be the first step. It sounds like the world needs to spread democracy to the US. I'm of course joking but this isn't good. I wouldn't count on the Supreme Court to save anybody, the entire institution has become a joke as far as I am concerned. Best case, a Democrate comes in and cleans up some of the shit. Orange Buffoon praises the President of China for changing the constitution so he doesn't have to run again. So hopefully he can't do that!
The Environmental Protection Agency head resigned basically for being a corrupt fucker. His corruption was endless and he did things like use the agency resources' to try and get his wife a job, stayed at a place that cost him $50 a night that was provided by a lobbyist, made the agency spend 150k on a sound proof phone booth, misused government travel perks, routinely broke the law by having a private and public calendar. This guy had 12 different investigations into him and probably should be prosecuted. His replacement is a coal lobbyist. So little better. Meanwhile in New Zealand idiots are boycotting Air New Zealand because they are offering Vegan burgers. Yes, this is a real story. Turns out people are batshit insane here too. I blame Orange Buffoon, before him people were less crazy and I never felt like I was writing satire half the time. Undoubtedly the same people that are boycotting our national airline will claim that they are patriots, stupid fucks. Justice Kennedy retired and this basically means that the federal rights to abortion is no longer safe, possibly gay marriage but that one could be too popular to throw out. From my view the democrates didn't obstruct the first one Buffoon picked so they missed their opportunity. On the other hand Dear Leader is under investigation and didn't win the popular vote anyway, so why the fuck not? It's surely no worse than the republican rationale. There's no point talking about obstruction as Democrates are weak and practically never fight back because they receive money from the same donors. Your fantasies about obstruction will get you nowhere.
A Wall Street democrate lost his primary, good riddance! It's a shame the Justice Democrates can't knock off more blue dogs. I think that the group will have 10 candidates in the general election, you have to start somewhere I guess. I think that the key is having only one progressive democrate in the first past the post system. I think that this wasn't the case for the California senate primary race and it wasn't a good result for progressives. Dear Leader called the press the enemy of the people, now a crazy person started shooting at a journalist. This reminds me of dictators like Putin and the guy in the Philippines; they spread hate about a certain group of people and their supporters start attacking. The family separation story blew up this week which resulted in Orange Buffoon signing an Executive Order stating that families must stay together. Don't be fooled; he didn't have to sign an Executive Order to do this. It's all for show. They were just enforcing policies at his instructions, so they could have easily unenforced them. Though making this official is a good thing. It doesn't change the fact that he created the crisis and expects credit when he made it better. No! Another angle you probably won't hear in the media is that there were warnings about this being the new source of income for private prisons which is noteworthy because they're locking up fewer and fewer people on drug charges; which is a good thing but they have just replaced one horrific policy with another. The government is spending tens of millions doing this; if you are a true fiscal conservative you should hate this. I could make the argument that separating families is horrible and blah blah blah but that probably won't reach conservatives and I don't see value in repeating the same arguments everyone else makes; go and read a bleeding heart liberal's blog if that is what you want. Also this is damaging to a long term mentality of the person which will turn a percentage into criminals and psychopaths. You then have to deal with the cost of prison etc. This will be a cost for many years to come. Treating people this way has consequences. There wasn't a crime wave but what they are doing is getting people to hate the United States.
Over in New Zealand the Prime Minister had her baby, from the media coverage you would think that she was the first person to give birth. I am only covering this story to make fun of Simon Bridges. He said that he will convert the child to be a National voter and maybe she will wear boys clothes to school to be politically correct. I think that he was joking and uses humour to make himself more related but from going on Twitter it appears to be about as effective as me wearing a head band to try to convince people that I am a runner. Orange Buffoon met with Kim Jong-un. I think that I said that the meeting wasn't going to happen. It was off, then it was on again. It was like a soap couple, if the characters were ugly! I find it disturbing that a criminal dictator is legitimized by a world leader. Kim Jong-un should be ashamed. What did it do? Not much, if any. North Korea promised to denuke, but they have promised this several times in the past and this wasn't followed through. Buffoon promised to pull troops out of South Korea, of course without speaking to them because who needs to consult with major allies? There are two major directions that this could go. The first is empowering North Korea to attack the south. The second (and I am being super fair by including this) is actually getting North Korea to follow through on their denuking as apparently they made this offer before. I see not reason not to be cynical about North Korea, but there is a small possibility that I am wrong.
Orange Buffoon said that only one in 10,000 could do what Kim Jong-un. Firstly perhaps he meant to say one in a million which would be more complimentary. Secondly he obviously just pulled that figure out of his ass. There is no way to verify this as not many people inherent a dictatorship. Another crazy won in Canada, Doug Ford is now the prime minister of Ontario. he was the brother of Rob Ford; the mayor caught in a cocaine scandal. People describe him as the Orange Buffoon of Canada but I think this is simplistic. He doesn't appear vulgar or thick but spoke to people hating "liberal elites" ruling over them, ironic since he basically wants to give all the power to big business. His policies are terrible which include closing homeless shelters, eliminating HIV programmes, cutting funding for day care centres. Canada voted for liberals a few years ago but they have largely not delivered on promises which is similar to the situation in the US which some argue lead to Orange Buffoon.
Speaking of the US Buffoon tweeted he could pardon himself, but he's not going to, why bring it up then? He probably would pardon himself, the decision would be challenged and the decision would rest on the Supreme Court with a conservative majority. So that doesn't look good! Putin boosted about how much you can't trust the US about deals and tariffs which is ironic since he supported the Dear Leader, probably to destablize and undermine the US. Orange Buffoon is delivering for him. The US is losing friends, perhaps it's not all bad news. Perhaps the international community would be more skeptical when the US tries to launch a war. The Supreme Court ruled on the gay cake issue. A baker denied to bake a cake for a gay wedding couple. They sided with the baker because they claim that the prosecution was too zealous when it came to going after the religious beliefs of the baker. i think that it was a bizarre decision and makes absolutely no sense. The law should be the law regardless of how it's argued. The offence is still the same regardless of the arguments. Would they still make the claim if it was for a interracial couple? This is bullshit! It was a 7-2 ruling and it was said that the ruling was narrow and only applied in this specific case. Rosanne is back in the news after tweeting something racist and as a result her show was cancelled. I am not going to spend time judging her for that tweet but I want to bring up several points.
Lots of progressive shows are now calling her mentality ill. I said that months ago. I don't mean to gloat but we shouldn't judge her too harshly because she obviously has mental problems and should get treatment. I am not sure I would have fired her but if there were executives that wanted her fired I would just go along with them. Racism is a bad look and shouldn't be tolerated from a representative of the network. Then again I really don't like policing people's speech and it's unfair that the overall cast have to lose their jobs. So I wouldn't have fired her but if I was the sole person responsible I would have insisted that she gets help. If she didn't I'd hope like hell other people force me to fire her. If this doesn't happen, well I don't think the network can tolerant racism, so I would be forced to fire her. That is a consistent paragraph as I said I wasn't SURE if I would have fired her but then concluded that she needed to go, but only after refusing help. People brought up the fact that Bill Maher asked if Orange Buffoon was a son of an ape. I am not sure if I should be angered by this stupidity or people are really this ignorant and lack any sense of context. Calling white people apes is not historically racist, calling black people is. It was not used to justify slavery against white people and to belittle them. Secondly he did that IN RESPONSE TO ORANGE BUFFOON BEING FUCKING RACIST BY SUGGESTING OBAMA WASN'T BORN IN THE US. Basically the countries involved are just putting up the cost of particular goods because the US started it. It doesn't appear his wife's name is in the dictionary. I find this amusing. There was a terrorist attack by an "involuntarily celibate" guy this week, and it was not the first. To put it simply these guys are so angry and bitter that they can't get laid that they commit terrorist attacks. In the US one had a gun, in the UK one ran people owner. What is interesting is in the age of Tindr it should not that difficult for an able body person to get laid. If you want to commit terrorism or sympathize with these types of terrorists you probably have a few screws loose, and that is probably the reason why you can't get sex. This is also true for muslim terrorists, many of them want glory because they feel inadequate in their life. The only solution are groups to drive people in the right direction such as encouraging them to seek personal coaching etc. not from dating guru assholes but from actually trained behavioral therapists. Though it's possible some have personality disorders that will never do this, but offering non judgemental alternatives would make the groups of incels smaller. I can also say that I frequently go a few months at a time without getting laid but I never wanted to end people's lives over it.
This next story is related. Politicians in the US have passed bills that hold dating sites liable for sex trafficking activities. This on the surface sounds good but many people think that it goes to far. Think craigslist for example, if someone posts a classified ad and is somehow conducting sex trafficking should Craigslist be responsible? Before you say yes I would ask how would they know? It's not like people post ads going HELLO I'M A SEX TRAFFICKER! Furthermore they have thousands of ads. There is just no way to realistically tell even if manually approving ad; criminals don't often broadcast the fact that they're criminals unless they're working for the current president. This is not to say sites shouldn't cooperate with authorities, they should and if they're are not and/or allow people who they know are committing crimes on their network yes those things should absolutely be crimes. The current versions of the bills are too far reaching and in my opinion allows selective prosecution. Not only that it's the big companies who will likely lobby themselves out of any trouble. If I started a dating site which frankly I was going to do it would be a big risk, though maybe I could use bankruptcy laws and use another entity to buy the website. Though for the domain I brought I'll probably do some niche dating articles and try monetizing with affiliate programs. The story relates to the first as they are cutting off ways for people to get laid. If their goal was to grow incel terrorism this would be a very effective way of doing that. I am not suggesting that this is the goal, just that they're so stupid they don't know what they're doing and have no idea what they're legislating. Some people on the right were smearing Trayvon Martin by claiming he was an entirely different person, that's literal. They said the media was lying and Zimmerman was attacked by a man which in no way resemble the actual victim. When Jimmy Carter got cancer people like Ann Couter said "a cancer has a cancer". Are conservatives offended that people criticized Barbara Bush? I don't care. I could research all the ways she was a flawed human being but I have better things to do. She's not worth my attention.
CBS claims ads are running on nazi videos and left-wing conspiracy shows like Jimmy Dore. I am actually going to split from the left echo chamber and say Dore has conspiracy elements to his show particularly surrounding Russia. Though the example CBS brings up is a very poor one. Yes! Many people are questioning who done the chemical weapon attack in Syria; including myself! It's not as if your government has never lied about war. See last entry. It is very convenient to scare advertisers away from independent media since they are not spending money with you. Here's the problem; many young people do not trust traditional media, and perhaps you can thank your Dear Leader for labeling you fake news on right. On the left independent media serves them better. Finally some actual news. Buffoon's lawyer got his office raided. You have to be really bad at crime to get your lawyer's office raided. It looks like the lawyer broke the law by paying off Stormy Daniels in the middle of the campaign. Privilege doesn't apply if you commit a crime as a lawyer but I don't know how far reaching this is. It probably still applies in unrelated matters. So don't get too excited. However if the lawyer has committed a crime he could probably turn against his client. Also if this is his way of doing business has he made similar mistakes in other areas? Wait and see.
Syria apparently launched another chemical attack resulting in firepower from the U.S. Whether the Syrian government actually launched such weapons, fuck knows! The attack last year was not confirmed as being from the Syrian government. It could be the other side for all we know, even a host on Fox News has pointed this out, along with independent outlets like TheYoungTurks. Why would Assad launch a chemical attack soon after the U.S. announced they're leaving? This would be counter productive. This sounds like Iraq has weapons of mass destruction to me. Any time a government says that they're going to war because, I am just going to assume they're lying. Also the U.S. declaring war always makes things worse. Topple Assad and Islamic radicals are waiting to take over. It's a no win situation, for fuck sakes leave it alone. It would be helpful if foreign governments took this line instead of saying that the attack was understandable. People including myself got things wrong about the Pulse nightclub shooting. I don't know why this is only just coming out now. The shooter wasn't on gay dating apps and had not visited the gay nightclub before. He intended to shoot up another nightclub but it was closed. I really think she's gone nuts as I saw an interview with her a few years ago, she was rambling about evil. Her reasoning doesn't really add up on supporting Buffoon as she claimed the people wanted change but 2.9 million more voted for Hillary. You could legitimately claim that the people wanted a change from neoliberalism despite this but Orange Buffoon is not that change. He is a racist asshole appointing Goldman Sachs and an oil CEO to his cabinet, oh I almost forgot people who have nazi ties. I really don't think people were looking for that change. It would be like looking for a bird, and instead of finding that cute little singing bird, you find a bear that beats and eats you, then your family goes bankrupt from the debt that you left behind. I know what you're thinking; my stories are wonderful; I should write novels. Perhaps she is one of those people who think Orange Buffoon could blow up the system but people who think like that are taking risks, there is absolutely no guarantee that if the system does blow up, the poor will benefit. it didn't in 2008 after all. I think that the problem is when they illegally acquire information, obviously they shouldn't do that. This is true for the private sector. Big data is big business. Especially for advertising and now social media companies. A decade ago it was ad servers that would build a profile of you. Now social media companies are doing it and people are volunteering their information. ID thieves could have a field day and for social media they don't even have to be a staff member. VPNs are no good because then they just have the information themselves. I don't have a solution but ensuring there is regulations around data storage would be good, then again companies can just incorporate anywhere in the world. Now Buffoon is echoing that lunatic. Does Orange Buffoon also want to kill the manufactures of opiods whose drugs kill about 90 people a day in the US alone? I am guessing no. They're rich. They wear suits. He only wants to kill the drug dealer across the street. If that solution worked countries wouldn't keep have to keep murdering drug dealers. They have murdered about 10,000 drug dealers and users in the Philippines and the number keeps climbing. Death doesn't seem to be a deterrent. What would help is funding treatment programmes and making drugs as safe as possible including legalization. With unregulated drugs anything can be in them.
New Zealand has recently had bad batches of Ecstasy which could be fatal. You also had bad batches of beer back in the day. If it is illegal anything can get in. Regulation of drugs would stop this. As stated before you need to fund addiction programs to combat that side of things. You also need to educate people including doctors. Yet another school shooting happened. Many progressives are sick of commenting on gun control including myself as nothing will be done. The only point I will bring up is people on the right say that we shouldn't talk about gun control because we're apparently politicizing tragedy; this has always been an absurd position, note they don't say when gun control CAN be talked about. I bring this up because there were interviews after the fact and at least three people were advocating for gun control. So when victims are advocating for gun control, it's time to do something about it. However, that won't happen and this will just keep happening. The President says it's mental health. I am not sure he's the right messenger for that. The President has also weakened laws on people who have a mental illness getting guns. People that have mental illness also are in other countries, the difference is they don't have access to assault rifles. Justin Trudeau corrected a woman. He told her to say peoplekind not mankind because it's more inclusive. People like Justin Trudeau allow people like Dave Rubin to completely misrepresent the left and say we're all about social issues, this is utter bullshit. The fact is Trudeau is just another neoliberal like Hillary Clinton, a person who is unserious about solving other people's problems in favour of their wealthy donors. Apparently the Dutch hacked Russia and saw people literally hacking the DNC. I say apparently because this sounds too convenient. If anything is going to doubt the Russia story it's convenient facts like this. Note to everyone. DON'T TAPE PEOPLE HACKING INTO THINGS! I don't want to be regarded as a conspiracy theorist, so let's say it's true. This is yet another example of FBI and CIA incompetence. Remember the iPhone that the FBI couldn't get into and they had to get a private company to do it? Apparently you don't find the best and brightest in American intelligence. Why did the Dutch uncover this and not Uncle Sam? Finally a top figure in US cyber security said that Russia successfully hacked the voting system of 22 states. It's largely unknown what they did. I would be very interested in what they did in swing states. Not just the voting system itself but throwing people off rolls. Perhaps a more important question is why the US allow itself to be hacked? I think that they should go back to paper ballots. Someone suggested block chain voting, I was dismissive at the time but maybe it's worth considering if an electronic system must be used. Republicans are also going on about a secret society and a deep state after a recent text message questioned whether someone was going to a meeting of the secret society. Any normal person would interpret that as a joke, but not tinfoil hat Republicans. They think that this non existant secret society is trying to overthrow Buffoon. By the way if Dear Leader is so great, why is he allowing this to happen? Isn't he in charge of everything? (except the justice department) Is he that incompetent that he can't control his own agencies? Actually, probably. However there is no plot to overthrow him. He probably would already be in jail or assassinated if that was the case. Instead there are legitimate investigations happening to find out what went on with Russia. Finally Farron Cussins from The Ring O Fire radio argued that the Stormy Daniels story mattered because if campaign money was used to pay her off that's a felony. There are people who claim Buffoon is succeeding, but what does that mean? He's succeeding at making the rich richer. Some people point to economic growth, but there was economic growth under Bush too, then after about seven years it collapsed. The same thing will happen here, do you know why? In trickle down economies when deregulation is also a factor people get greedy and take more and more risk, sooner or later it blows up in everyone's faces and they have to get a bail out. Also due to the tax cuts companies are buying back their own stock, that's called market fixing. I thought corporations were going to use tax cuts for job growth. Turns out, no! While many are boosting about bonuses, the same companies are cutting jobs. The rich are just pocketing the tax cuts. What a surprise.
Over in New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is having a baby after three months in she was pregnant before the election but found out last month. I have a different point of view than many liberals. Firstly I have no interest in people's personal lives, particularly when it comes to the royal family; I don't want to see their baby photos, wedding pictures, don't care, boring. I immediately thought of a media frenzy, and it has already happened. So that's what we have for the next few years. Secondly about Clarke being a stay at home dad, great, but wages are so low the majority can't afford to do that. So maybe Jacinda should consider that point. Also if it was any other job the employer would not be thrilled. Jacinda is lucky, especially if in a 90 day right to sack environment. However people should realize that politicians and employees are allowed to have lives. Labour should form employment law accordingly. This is a massive fuck up by almost everyone involved. Blogs surfaced of Cenk written in 2000 calling girls whores and trannies and saying they're genetically flawed because they didn't want to have sex with him. This was in 2000; since this time he changed from being conservative to a liberal and now runs a show people probably accused of being too feminist friendly, well by people I mean assholes but that's beside the point. His show does hire one in particular "fringe feminist" that says stupid shit such as a wink is like sexual assault and two men shouldn't say disgusting things about women over email, ok but you're living in a fantasy world if you think that you can police such thoughts. My point is Cenk has evolved and is a feminist and his TheYoungTurks network also echos this. I am a feminist too, but some people are utterly ridiculous, like with any group; there's utterly ridiculous disability advocates too. We're going off topic!
Cenk's blogs and tweets were reckless and stupid, but some people evolve. He would tweet nothing like that now. Now we get to the Justice Democrats. First they created this entire drama. If I was in their position, it's an open question whether I would have done the same. Honestly considering it was 18 years ago and he doesn't think like that now. I would have solely weighed the public backlash. If I don't think it was significant, there would be no way I am asking for resignations. Kyle resigned and that was fucking stupid. He better hope the movement doesn't get hijacked. I would have stayed on and ensured the movement stayed on track. Then again would the media dig up some crazy thing he said in the past too? He is standing by Cenk by doing this, but strategically this was a terrible move. Two main lessons here 1. I was right not to go into politics or get too famous. I constantly say crazy shit and this is deliberate. I would rather continue making technology and productions/music than fuck around with the media. Some kid made an anti bullying video that went viral, then it turns out that his mum is a white supremacist. I will use this story to explain how stupid humanity is. First point: There are millions of bullying victims across the globe but people gave $51,000 to this kid. People can do what they want with their money, but I find this weird and stupid. There are probably numerous victims at their local school, but they gave money to this random person on the internet. Senseless! Humans are visual people, if they can't see it, they don't care. It's the same with stand up comedy, people don't care that I spent my entire working life programming; they only like the posts when I mention that I am doing stand up. Even though the whole reason that I am about to do stand up comedy is that I built software to pause lines. People only recognize me as a stand up comedian. You could adapt use climate change as an example; for years people have been denying it and still do, but less people are denying it due to major disasters. This is humanity's problem; it is obsessed with visual things and celebrities. Another example with comedy is people recognize characters like Sheldon Cooper as the actor, but the character wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the writers and producers. People need a face otherwise they are not interested. This is humanity's weakness. Extending this to politics, people are more comfortable voting for candidates that they feel like they have a beer with for example George W Bush or John Key in New Zealand. In New Zealand they changed the Labour leader three months out from an election; it was an instant 7 percentage point boost. as a policy wonk and screen writer this is a bit depressing, but facts are facts. Humanity largely is stupid and only care about what's directly in front of them.
As for people giving to a random white supremacist family; that's on them for sending money to a person based on one video. AngryAussie pointed out that this has similarities to Kony 2012. Everyone was happily raising money until it turns out the guy went bonkers. You don't always know who is behind the cause. Net neutrality is about to be killed, there seems nothing anybody can do as the person making the decision formally worked as a lawyer for an ISP. It's important to note this only affects the US but other countries may follow suit. In New Zealand we have about ten ISPs so we shouldn't be that concerned. However companies can always cooperate together and do certain things, but there's no sign that will happen. Back to the US, there are only two main internet providers and they mostly stay out of each other's areas so it's pretty much a monopoly. Side note, there is no fibre in some parts of the US, sounds backwards. Anyway the change would mean that the providers can slow down specific sites. The potential uses of this would be slowing down your competition, slowing down certain sites until they pay you, perhaps they don't like sites that are critical of them or the beliefs of their executives like this site and they slow them down. I have owned sites basically half my life. You have to pay for hosting, you could also additionally pay the ISPs that deliver content to the customers if the change happens. The ISPs already get revenue from their customers. This is how the internet is supposed to operate. Anybody can get to whatever site/service that is operational at the time. This change would give ultimate control to the ISPs. If you don't like the government telling you what you can access, would a corporation doing it be any better? If you say yes, you're probably an idiot. Taking the control to the extreme; if an ISP doesn't like TheYoungTurks they could they tell YouTube and Facebook to shut them down or they'll penalize them. Same thing with Alex Jones if he accused the executives of hosting a donkey fucking ring. (the appropriate action would be suing him) I personally don't think they'll censor but rather make the giants pay them, but I don't know. Other companies could theoretically pay them to penalize their competition.
I can see only one solution; people have to build an ISP as an social enterprise. Nobody is suggesting this but not considering this is a mistake; you could probably crowd fund the startup costs and start in the most profitable areas, then expand. I thought that TPP was dead, apparently not! There's a new version called CPTPP which is basically TPP without the United States. As I understand it it's a bit watered down for New Zealand; corporations can't sue us to change our laws, can restrict who owns property. So things are a bit better. However I simply don't see the evidence trade deals are worthwhile. Trade deals are basically outsourcing deals and ultimately cost jobs. I am skeptical that signing it would be beneficial. In New Zealand there was no way to ensure we didn't get the TPP out of the recent election. Sure, you could have voted Greens or New Zealand First who won't vote for it, but we're getting the TPP anyway, so what fucking good does that to? Look, progressives need to go to where the power is, not isolated in some hippy party which can be ignored when it suits.

Three people from the Buffoon campaign have been indicted including Paul Manaford and his business partner. Paul was Buffoon's campaign manager until he had to quit because of ties to Russia. No surprises he was indicted. George Papadopoulos has also plead guilty to crimes including Buffoon and Russia; he was working closely with them including trying to get Buffoon to go to Russia during the campaign, that didn't happen. Buffoon insiders knew of his connections, apparently this includes Jeff Sessions who previously denied about knowing anybody involved with Russia on the Buffoon campaign, a clear lie. The investigation is still ongoing and these developments shouldn't be dismissed because they will likely lead to bigger prosecutions later.
Cenk Uygur had the right idea; the republicans are only going after Hillary Clinton's deal with Russia because Robert Mueller was high ranking at the FBI at the time of the FBI's approval of the deal. So progressive shows that are harping on about the story which was dead for a year are doing nothing but help republicans. Progressives are shitting themselves about Donna Brazile's revelation of the fact that the DNC were rigging the primaries. Yawn, didn't everybody already knew this? Some aspects of it were still interesting. Obama starved the DNC of cash and the current chair at the time (who was also Hillary's former campaign chair prior) didn't go after fund raising like previous chairs. You can make up your own mind whether the lack of fund raising was intentional by the chair. Some people suggest that this proves Hillary Clinton and the DNC were working together all along as the DNC payments to the company behind the dossier were from April 2016. Didn't we already know they were working together? I am struggling to find anything substantive to this story. While we are on the subject of Hillary Clinton, I was going to comment on the Hillary Clinton Russia story but I actually agree with David Pakman, this seems to be a repeat of a story a year ago. The quick gist is that Russia paid Bill Clinton for speeches near the time a deal with the Obama administration and Russia was done. Firstly we already knew about the deal a year ago and Hillary Clinton was only one of many people to approve the deal. I am not sure this story has substance to it, maybe a year ago when it was legitimately news. Since at least 80% of the facts were known then I can label it a duh story. A producer in Hollywood is a predator. Duh. I bring this up often THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY IS FULL OF PREDATORS. Of course by full I don't mean everyone in the industry is a predator but proportionately I have no doubt that there are more predators in the entertainment industry. An interesting angle would be why is this? Logically people with Narcissistic Personality Disorder would be attracted to business, politics but also entertainment. Sexual abuse is more to do with power. There's a certain type of NPD that makes the person not go in the limelight but get others to do so. This perfectly explains abusive producers like Havey Weinstein, Roger Ailes, Dr Luke, Lou Pearlman. Of course you also have the Bill Cosbys, Bill O'Reillys of the world. So what is the solution? None of this is satire. This is the state of the world Series today. Psychologists have done a march because they think that Donald Trump is so unstable he needs to be removed from office. I will say again I predicted that he would be removed from office or resign in my biggest ever post election rant. I would be shocked if I was wrong. I expect he won't even last until the end of the first term. New Zealand has a government, finally, it's Labour, New Zealand First and the Green Party. I did softly predict in a Facebook comment that I thought New Zealand First would go back with Labour, so I can claim credit as being right. Conservatives were gloating that National got more votes, opps! It is obviously the three opposing parties that got more votes and that's the only thing that matters in New Zealand democracy. I have avoided talking about the NFL so far and I am fucking sick of the story. However Orange Buffoon always has to take things further. This all started when Colin Kaepernick protested the national anthem by kneeling to protest the amount of black people getting shot by police. Conservative snowflakes cried and cried about it until he was fired. Orange Buffoon made it worse by calling the players \'sons of bitches" and more importantly have has now threatned the NFL's tax breaks and said that the players must get in line. Dear Leader is offended. I ultimately come out on the more moderate side. Players should do what their contract says but Orange Buffoon shouldn't be allowed to threaten players or owners. Players used to stay in the locker room when the national anthem was sung, it was only because of the Pentagon paying the NFL millions of dollars that the standing for the anthem began. It's propaganda. Additionally the NFL covers up evidence of their players getting brain damage which potentially leads to depression and suicide. They also hire domestic abusers. The worst mass shooting in the history of the US happened. I believe that I reported on another biggest ever mass shooting last year. I probably covered gun control at the time, or undoubtedly covered it when I reported on another mass shooting. I will cover different aspects this time. First, I have noticed the gun control problem is similar to the climate change problem. Taking action wouldn't necessarily stop the future events in the short term but will eventually reduce the problem. There are people who deny the cause of the problem or say there is nothing we can do about it. Politicians don't act on both issues because of corporations donating to them. Both have idiot conspiracy theorists providing alternative facts. On that note I will get to my second angle. Some conspiracy theorists are just liars; they know what they are saying is not true and their entire business model is built around lying to people, sometimes about people dying. They are scum, that call others scum. Nothing like projection! It is important to be skeptical of the media and people in power. However it is equally important not to go down rabbit holes and into fantasy land. Before I get people (being polite) saying ohhhhhhh but they've proven 9/11 was an inside job. NO THEY FUCKING HAVEN'T! For fuck sakes they have physics online that explain how the towers fell, why don't you fucking research? Credit agency Equifax has been hacked potentially exposing 140 million customers; this included names, addresses, birth dates, social security numbers and possibly drivers licenseS for some people. Obviously the sheer number is staggering. I imagine you could make a fortune on the dark web with a tiny fraction of what was stolen. There are questions here; why not have adequate security if you're in control of that many records? Should there be more regulations in this area? (although you could just setup a website in any country without them) I have personally run membership sites with thousands of members and perhaps will again. You could theoretically start a website with millions of members with little oversight. Should this be allowed to happen? What should be the threshold? I am actually am improving security in my software with things like two factor authorization. The Equifax hack in particular was caused by software that did not have the latest patches which means it could have been prevented. I'll say something controversial: the company should shut down for this; obviously they cannot be trusted. If you're a victim of this firstly join a class action lawsuit against the company. Secondly if you are particularly worried there's something called a credit freeze that could be useful which prevents new loans from being taken out under your name.
Speaking of the internet there was a big story where Russia were buying all sorts of ads on Facebook and Twitter to influence the election; this includes everything from targeting Black Lives Matter supporters, gun rights supporters and the people opposed to these groups. It is alleged that the troll army is still active and is planning things for 2018 and 2020, they rely on low information persons to spread their message; perhaps people that do not check out who is behind a particular facebook page or website although sometimes this is not easy. Perhaps to better protect yourself don't just like every page that you agree with; see if they have verifiable information first. The Health secretary has resigned after a scandal involving private jets. I think at this point it would be quicker to name the people in the white house that haven't resigned. Tom Price was particularly corrupt because he brought stocks in companies and passing legislation to affect those company. Oh yeah you're drainning the swamp by having this guy in your administration. Hugh Heftner died, he was like a trillion years old, this cannot be a surprise to anyone. He was credited as being a pioneer as well as objectifying women. Personally I admire people who work in the industries that they are interested in, that is what I try to do, although maybe could be better at it. Whether you agree with him or not he did have an effect on the world including fighting against sodomy laws which helped out homosexuals at the time. So he was about sexual freedom in general, which isn't a bad thing. At times the world needs controversy and someone to shake things up, so to speak, he was one of those people. He was out on bai but the judge sent him to jail after thinking the post was a threat. To me, this proves rich people aren't that bright, it's his own fault he's unnecessarily sitting in jail. I almost feel bad. No I don't, not at all. Orange Buffoon went to the UN, made up the country Nambia which doesn't exists, called Kim Jon-Un rocket man and threatened North Korea. I don't have time for this shit. All I will say is if anybody is going to start a war it's Orange Buffoon and George W Bush also had nicknames for leaders like PuDePu for Putin. At one point close to the election Labour was polling 42-44%, they got 36%, maybe 37% after special votes. This is a massive swing in a week or two. Two conclusions. People should shut the fuck up about polling favouring the right wing, the numbers very clearly state the opposite. Secondly we can't take too much stock in polls, although they were all over the show near the end. You can only look for the trends, percentage wise they don't appear to be accurate weeks out. The last people who should shut the fuck up are the people who say don't worry about votes early on, they're rural and Labour will increase, didn't happen! I have the data points to prove it, and I casually observed the same thing in a previous election. There's absolutely no truth to this assertion. Then he didn't after a meeting with leaders from the Democrate side, Then they said a deal was made with the President. Then the President said no deal was made. The reality? He's a complete idiot with no clue what he's doing. There was a story out in which it says he listens to the last person in the room, this is completely consistent with this. The bottom line, this is a side show; it was always about making a deal with the Democrates and the business community is not going to allow a source of cheap labour to be deported. It's noteworthy that he wants to deal with the Democrates with his party can govern alone; but of course some Republicans don't want to govern and want to destroy the government. Obviously go further enough right your ideas are so unpopular you turn toxic and dysfunctional, I believe that I have said this before.

Second, yeah Hillary in order to win elections you need your side to vote for you. Your aides were right. If you were a little more convincing instead of going after Republicans (who by the way have hated you for years, really smart strategy that) perhaps you would have been president. Two more disasters happened or are about to an earthquake in Mexico and hurricane Irma. They should name a hurricane after the president just to see his reaction. Harvey hit Texas and oil refineries, Irma will hit America's retirement village: Florida and old people watch the climate change denying channel Fox News. There is a sad irony to this, and it is important not to take glee in people's houses possibly being destroyed, not even Rush Limbaugh's right after he called Hurricanes hoaxes. Orange Buffoon banned trans people from the military. About a month ago he announced it via Twitter without any process behind it. A few weeks later he signed an executive order making it official. There's no schedule for removing existing trans people but it will probably be done. Buffoon cited health care costs as the reason but the military spends three times more on Viagra. Also we have covered that the Pentagon wastes tens of billions per year, they can't even account for some of the money. Orange Buffoon is simply being horrible, there is no valid reason to do this. Additionally it costs $96,000 to train and recruit a new soldier, there is 10,000 trans people in the army, do the math on that. Finally when he was called to fight in Vietnam he didn't go and went to sex parties instead, he called getting STDs his own personal Vietnam, he has absolutely no creditability when It comes to who is serving.
Hurricane Harvey has practically destroyed parts of Texas. The scenes there have been not been pretty, at least 15 people died, entire communities destroyed. I knew instinctively that sending the president to the area was a very bad idea, he did his usual buffoonish thing. Progressives are talking about climate change. The time for action on that was 20 years ago. However while future actions will not prevent the probable countless devastating storms coming it will stop a bad situation from becoming even worse. The world needs to take action on this. Luckily most of the world are not climate change deniers like the US Republicans and are taking this seriously. However we need to consider climate change a current threat and be concerned about what comes next. The US is putting more troops in Afghanistan, 15,000 in total. At one time there was over 100,000. If they can't win with that, why would they be able to win with a fraction of that? The Afghanistan war is a lost cause, they should abort and should have aborted a decade ago. I worked out the Afghanistan war has been going on half my life. 16 years. You know what they say 17th years the charm. The best solution would be to work with the Taliban to stabilized the country; trying to defeat them hasn't worked. Actually I heard an amazing story this week that the Taliban did actually surrender in 2001 but the Bush Administration was too incompetent to register it. The surrender ceased when the US wouldn't stop attacking. This sounded unbelievable, until I remembered that they had Osama Bin Laden cornered in 2001 but Donald Rumsfield didn't send in the troops and he got away. If all this is true you are right to question whether this utter incompetence was deliberate or whether the Bush Administration had shit for brains. Remember also that George W Bush was also warned about a possible terrorist attack several months before 9/11 on vacation and told the people to go home. When right wingers get involved in foreign policy, they tend to fuck it up. To an extent this also includes Obama, but at least he was competent enough to get Bin Laden. I personally just generally assume people in power are incompetent at their job. Really, is there any clearer proof than the US election last year? In conclusion I regret not buying stocks in defense contractors after the election, the war machine rolls on.

At the beginning of the presidency I said that I believe that he had a self destructive trait in his personally. Nothing has proven me wrong. The obsession he has with calling both sides even is part of his self destructive personality. Any competent person and someone who isn't self destructive would have no problem adequately calling out white supremacists and neo nazis. It's a problem for him because he's both incompetent and self destructive. Yes it's true that the now fired Steve Bannon may have had a hand in his response, but the fact is Buffoon could not do the absolute minimum the situation required; this shows utter incompetence.
Bannon has been fired from the whitehouse; finally some good news. Steve recently did an interview where he claimed to be in charged. I don't know if he was fired because of that, or the obvious fact that he was a horrible strategist that lead the administration down a shit hole. Whatever the reason; this is good news. The question is if a new strategist can turn this administration around. I am firmly in the no camp. Again Buffoon seems entirely self destructive. With the Russia investigation and now probable trolling from Bannon's deplorable propaganda outlet, this will not get better. He openly fights with morning TV show hosts, he will probably do the same with Bannon. If a fire requires water to be put out he's there pouring petrol all over it. He has no ability to defuse situations; he only makes them worse. With Bannon gone Buffoon really has very limited friends. The people who work for him don't respect him and are constantly leaking how incompetent he is. Orange Buffoon threatened North Korea with "Fire and fury like the world has never seen". Everybody has blown this out of proportion. Let me explain. North Korea has a history of empty threats. When they threaten places like Guam we shouldn't take them seriously; other presidents didn't and nothing happened. They do this to make noise and for their own propaganda purposes. I have maintained from the beginning that they are very unlikely to attack, hopefully they know if they do it will be game over for the government. The difference today is we should probably ignore the US president too. EVERYTHING WITH THE PRESIDENT HAS TO BE THE BIGGEST EVER! He has size issues, we get it. Taking him at face value is a mistake. He talks shit the majority of the time. Other more rational people at the whitehouse (as rational as right wingers can be) say there is no threat and they are not going in. Unless this changes there is no need to panic.
Charlottesville, tragedy occurred out of a confederate statue removal protest. A helicopter crash, very unfortunate. One piece of violence that happened and was no accident was a radical right winger trying to run over counter protesters. Violence for a political or ideological cause has a name: terrorism. Most groups have their fundamentalists and moderates, not just muslims. I don't want to dwell on this point, I am sure other pundits are not shutting up about this. All I will stress is that it is important to try and encourage moderation in religious ideologies no matter if it is Muslim, Christian, or something else. You don't encourage moderation by calling them all terrorists, or calling them stupid. If you still do this; you are part of the problem. The Confederation wanted to keep slavery. If you are claiming heritage for the reasons to keep the statutes up please know what your heritage is. There is a case to made for ignorance. African Americans simply don't want statutes of people up that were hell bent on keeping their race as slaves. This is really what this issue boils down to. If you really feel strongly about either side a sensible course of action would be petitioning the government. If you truly live in a democracy, the majority should rule. Ryan Prebis, obviously is gone. He was the Chief Of Staff. He was replaced by a General. Ryan came from the RNC and was seen as an more establishment figure. Scaramucci was the shortest serving Communication Director in history. There's speculation that Buffoon thought he was stealing the limelight and that is why he was fired. However Scaramucci also said "I am not like Steve Bannon, I don't try to suck my own cock" I suspect saying that about a top adviser to Buffoon was a mistake. Scaramucci was also critical of Buffoon in now deleted tweets. Whoever was behind the firing wouldn't have had a tough time convincing Orange Buffoon to do it. Meanwhile a Grand Jury has been established for the Buffoon/Russia investigation. This means that it isn't going away anytime soon and they can uncover more evidence with this procedure. They have hired a lawyer that specializes in money laundering, bribery and corruption. You don't leave your well paid private sector job for something irrelevant. Tick tock, tick tock. Buffoon's approval is now down to 33%, perfect time to go on a 17 day vacation. What's the difference? He isn't accomplishing much on the job anyway. According to a magazine he called the Whitehouse a dump. Sounds like he doesn't want to be president, lucky for him he probably will be removed from office eventually. It is so bad that psychologists have lifted their own gag rule which prevented psychologists from commenting on people that they haven't examined. There was a news alert on TV2 about Princess Diana's love life. What the fuck? Firstly she has been dead for 20 years. This is not news! It reminds me of a headline on CNN "Breaking news: The Titanic sunk 100 years ago today". I don't care about Diana's love life. I can think of nothing that is less relevant. I hate stories about Diana, it was the three years of constant coverage after her death that will forever haunt me. I was young, I didn't know her. It was just 3 years of the media going on about someone I had no interest in, and still have no interest in. Are people really interested in her love life at this point? Does it really deserve a TV news alert? There seems to be a resurgence of stories about her. When will it end? Seriously, I'm asking! With the Democrates shift to the right this allowed the Republicans to be populated by fringe right wingers. Their ideas are unpopular and incompatible with the moderates in swing states. They're pretty much the headless chicken party; flapping around accomplishing nothing. The Koch Brothers are also to blame for funding the Tea Party in 2010. They may be able to pass tax reform but much else.
Chester Bennington is dead at 41. I am just covering this because Linkin Park were my favourite rock band, particularly their earlier stuff. 41 is too young to die. He took his own life, I don't know if I have already said this but famous people could do with mental health treatment rather than yes men. This is the reason I say being famous can decrease your life span. I am grateful to have seen Linkin Park in 2013, I do regret being preoccupied with trying to keep my ex. The meeting was illegal, foreign entities are not allowed to give anything of value to the campaign. The fact that nothing was given is not relevant legally. Sting operations work for this reason. If he showed intent; he can theoretically be prosecuted. Saying "I love it" in response to someone saying they have damaging information on Hillary Clinton shows intent. I say theoretically be prosecuted because his father is the president. The entire Buffoon ship would need to sink before that happens, could be possible though! There was a couple that wanted YouTube fame. They did a stunt with a gun, now one is dead. Firstly this isn't abnormal; one of my stand up jokes was about the stupid challenges on YouTube including the Fire Challenge; setting yourself on fire, because, I don't fucking know why masses of people did that. So this is not the first dangerous stunt people did for internet fame and it won't be the last. Society glorifies fame. Let me tell you something: it isn't worth it. Get past the glorification and many famous people seem to be miserable. Kloe Kardashian compared it to be being in a wheelchair, I think it was Kloe, I don't care. Justin Bieber is a miserable fucker. Michael Jackson, errrrrrr do I really need to continue with explaining how he was messed up. Whitney Huston had problems, till death to them part, Amy Whinehouse too. Sure, I am cherry picking celebrities. However it's no coincidence that young stars frequently go off the rails; Linsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Amanda Bynes. There is no need to chase fame; it is not that great. You give up your privacy by having the paparazzi on you 24/7. A new problem is having your nudes leaks, if you aren't famous there's no incentive to violate your privacy. You can't go out in public without being annoyed. You get strange people obsessed with you and people criticize your every move. (I got pissy when someone said that they preferred my hair in a certain style, FUCK YOU I don't give a fuck about what someone on the other side the world thinks about my physical appearance) Similarly lottery winners have their lives screwed up too, but that's going on a tangent. And I thought I have wasted opportunities in my life, this man is the president of the US and too stupid to do anything with it. My dog could do a better job, AND SHE'S DEAD! Progressives are morons too, I am guessing that it wouldn't be too hard to completely hijack the White House. USE SHINY OBJECTS FOR FUCK SAKES. Advocate for single payer health-care and we'll give you a gold star, that would probably work! At minimum he should be bombarded with signs CHINA IS WINNING WITH RENEWABLE ENERGY, that may work. Inequality in the USA has gotten so bad that you can work full time and not afford a two bedroom apartment without government assistance. Aren't conservatives meant to be against government assistance? A living wage is actually good for the economy because it means that more money is flowing throw the system, and very importantly the wage increased more than makes up for the slightly higher priced goodsthere is no reason not to do it, and considering 40 years of neoliberalism has shifted the tax burden increasingly from the rich to the poor it's regular citizens that fund this absurd system. A tower in London caught fire killing 79 people. Tragic but avoidable. The company brought flammable materials costing $5000 less. If this decision was not made those lives probably wouldn't have been lost. The Conservative government once congratulated themselves on lessening fire regulations. The lessons here are skyscrapers need adequate fire protections and they need to be enforced. You can't rely on corporations to have protections all by themselves. A few days after Comey's testimony Orange Buffoon held a press conference, and it one of the most ridiculous things that I have ever seen. When Buffoon was answering questions he was moving his arms from side to side. I expect that is a sign he's lying. He said things like "No I did not do that, but even if I did there would be nothing wrong with that" O...K..., has anybody sounded more guilty in their life? From an analytical perspective he distance himself from Comey, "No I didn't ask for loyalty, I barely know Comey". Liars frequently distance themselves from the people involved. "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" they teach this stuff in talks and lectures. So, absurd press conference, Made Buffoon look worse.
The Russia investigation has extended to the Buffoon son-in-law and Buffoon itself. A special prosecutor has been assigned to the case. It's probably only a matter of time before another revelation is uncovered. Surely there's a reason why Buffoon's staff keep dropping off due to connections to Russia dating back to the campaign manager who changed the GOP'S platform to ease Crimea related sanctions. There's also reports that Buffoon wanted to do things that benefit Russia but wasn't able to do them. I guess this is like how Obama wanted to be more hawkish but ran into obstacles. People, including some progressives that say \'there's nothing there" are in denial. I have additionally come to the conclusion that the hookers pissing tape could be a real thing. Yes it's ridiculous but everything about this administration is ridiculous. Of course other things should be talked about; I am only covering the press conference because it was funny. The republicans have basically taken an axe to Dodd Frank. I have mixed thoughts, the legislation was basically piss weak so in essence they weakened already piss weak. Another crash was always coming, it will come slightly sooner. Buffoon's approval rating is already lower than the percentage of people that want him impeached. So the UK had its election. The left is bizarrely celebrating. Jeremy Corbyn lost. This is nothing to celebrate. I know he turned a 30 point deficit in the polls into less than 10 and took seats away from the Conservative Party and blah blah blah. He lost. He doesn't get a participation trophy from me. He deserves credit; it was the first time Labour received an increase since 1997. The Conservative Party now can't govern on its own and may do a deal with a fundamentalist religious party. There is nothing here to celebrate. Maybe he will be victorious next but I predict he will be removed as Labour leader and a neoliberal put in, hopefully I am wrong. Some of Clinton's people "helped" the Conservative campaign, you could say they helped it lose seats hahaha. Neither campaign did particularly well. This is a bad result for the left, but could end up winning us the long game if people dislike the new governing arrangement and Corbyn stays, I have doubts the latter will happen. Jeremy Corbyn lost, this is not time to be patting him on the back for giving a good try. Stop being ridiculous!
The current Conservative PM now wants to regulate the internet to help stop ISIS. I surprisingly will agree with this approach in theory, but in practice just assume that it will be implemented with the intention of taking people's rights and privacy away. I think ISIS should be shut down through very agressive means. Terrorists shouldn't be allowed to communicate via the internet, that's the most ridiculous thing ever! Shut the fuckers down. Sites and social media, gone. The status quo doesn't do this but instead collects everyone's data which does fuck all to solve the problem. I am acknowledging the terror attack in Manchester but ultimately I really don't feel like I have too much to say on this. This randomly happens, they kill a lot of people in one place but ultimately your chances of dying at a concert is much lower than in a car crash. This will be my point. We must not let the terrorists win. They want to install fear upon us. We must continue to live. They must not be allowed to stop people having fun. Sometimes terrible things happen, 99.999% of the time they don't. We absolutely have to dismantle toxic ideologies, but should not stop our lives in the process. We need to continue going to concerts, marathons, nightclubs. We also need to be wary of any \'solutions" that governments impose. The terrorists love taking away freedoms, we shouldn't let the government do that for them. We should judge solutions on their merrits.
When talking about terrorism it is important to understand the root causes. I have said before the the US keeps giving arms and power to terrorists. Today is no different. The US signed a 110 BILLION DOLLAR deal with Saudi Arabia. This country is involved in the civil war in Yemon and has a similar ideology to ISIS. 15/19 of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudis. I generally think that tech VIRUS AHHHHHH stories are overhyped, this was no exception. 300,000 computers were infected but there are probably hundreds of millions of computers in existence, this would seem a tiny fraction. However from my understanding the ransomware was targeted, some predict that another attack will come later. In my opinion the most interesting aspect of this story was the fact the NSA knew of the hole but told Microsoft not to close it. Genius! I hope the lesson learned is not to follow such instructions in future. If the government can violate your technology, so can other people!
Roger Alies died. Many people believe that it is not right to criticize the dead, if you followed this blog for a while you know I am not one of those people. He was a horrible person, but ultimately was an evil genius. Before Fox News he advised Nixon, Regan and Bush senior. His channel also was the first to push the incorrect notion that Bush junior won Florida which shaped the conversation. Other channels to some degree follow Fox News; he knew that. He also knew by serving his base red meat he could also feed them propaganda. He shaped conservatism for a generation or more. He catered largely to bigots and idiots and used them for his own purposes, played them like a violin to vote against their own interest. He was successful at avoiding criticisms from other mainstream media, possibly due to the blackmail files he kept on his competitors, also if you criticize outlets they generally won't hire you should you need a job later. I already covered his abuse; the only thing I will add is I'm constantly baffled on why the rich don't just find willing participants to have sex with them; buy them a car or house. In the latest episode of Buffoons Of Our Lives it turns out that Orange Buffoon asked Comey to drop the case against Mike Flynn who according to sources didn't even want to be National Security Adviser because of his ties to foreign governments. until Orange Buffoon insisted. Asking Comey to drop investigations is obstruction of justice. Now a Special Prosecutor has been assigned to the case. It's not looking good for Orange Buffoon. Before celebrating President Pence would be more competent at getting horrible shit done and would they let Russia off the hook? Things could get very ugly. Republicans passed a replacement to the Affordable Care Act. In short it gives away 600 billion in tax cuts to the rich, includes an option for the states to do away with pre existing conditions, funds high risk pools by 8 billion but 200 billion, raises the uninsured rate from 10% to 19%. Fuck the Republicans. Democrates are singing this will be the end for them in the 2018 midterms. Well fuck the democrates too. Nobody should sing when people lose health-care. The Affordable Care Act is a largely shitty piece of legislation; it isn't a single payer system like every other developed country on earth and health-care costs are much higher. If the Democrates had the guts to fix these problems when they had a filibuster proof majority they would probably be popular enough that Orange Buffoon would never have become president. Instead they had to appease the Big Tent Fuckwit Brigade AKA the "moderate democrates" This means any reforms has to be piss weak. The lesson here is NEVER let your ideological opposition into your own party! They take over and even when you're in power you're practically useless!
Obama did a speech on Wall Street for 400 million dollars. For people who don't think it's a big deal ask yourself if he would still be doing it if he prosecuted the bankers for fraud or significantly tightened regulations by bringing back Glass Steagell? If you think yes, it's possible you're a stupid person. He was soft on the banks and now he's getting paid, much like the Clintons who took away Glass Steagell. When the next crash comes it is important not to just blame Orange Buffoon, some of the blame will be on the New Democrates. France is about to get more right wing, the question is how much. There was more candidates for the dominate party but they got eliminated, sounds like a reality TV show. Buffoon released his tax plan, it's a huge give away to the rich. Duh! Gets rid of the estate tax, as an old rich guy his family would benefit tremendously. Reduces tax on investments such as stocks. So far this affects the middle class fuck all. Also gets rid of the Alternative Minimum Tax which forces people like Orange Buffoon to pay 25% tax instead of 5% with various accounting tricks. They basically doubled the itemized deduction threshold but from my understanding this affects very limited poor people. It additionally allows for pass through corporations so that (again rich) people can be taxed at a lower rate for corporations instead of 39%. This is nothing but a windfall for the rich. It will fuck the budget so they're forced to cut programs, mainly for low to medium income earners which by the way would off set some of the few benefits those people get. Giving more money to already rich people does nothing to stimulate the economy, that is just a convenient myth and puts the con in conservative! The only way an economy can grow is by ensuring that people who are more likely to spend money can actually do that. The people who proportionately spend more of their income are the poor and the middle class. Austerity and trickle down economics ensures the reverse of this and are miserable failures as economic policy.

This is the same thing that got Roger Alies, although with Bill O'Reilly it was also because the advertisers were fleeing from his show. Despite the behaviour (and I say that because some cases were settled) his ratings didn't suffer but turns out all the ratings in the world mean nothing if you can't be monetized. Logically using bigger bombs would kill more civilians, fuck more people off because you kill their family members which many had nothing to do with terrorism, so those left behind turn to terrorism, and on and on it goes. Of course Orange Buffoon is stupid, that's not really an riveting point. What is more interesting is the media and the relationship to a media obsessed President. Media largely praised Orange Buffoon for the strike last week. I would say Buffoon is watching closely so if they praised him he would be more likely to authorised more military action, and now we get to this week. This is a cycle that should be discussed. Of course it is just a theory, but the media should be cautious about praising a vein buffoon at times when he launch strikes.

A bomb by North Korea would trigger a war for sure, and they'll surely lose considering starved people are unable to fight and may not be willing. Buffoon launched missiles on a Syrian air base after a chemical weapons attack . This may not be as bad as I thought. Turns out the Russians were warned about the attack prior and they warned the Syrians. The result was limited damaged. I only say this is good because if Russia gets fucked off somehow because they're closely allied with Syria it could lead to World War 3. Best case this is theater to show how tough Buffoon is. You could claim Buffoon warned Russia out of curiosity and if this is the case at least Syria knows there will be consequences for chemical weapons attacks. Of course I prefer they didn't bomb and do sanctions but if this doesn't go further, avoiding crisis with Russia is a good thing. I am definitely not a fan of the Russian government, I can't stand them and have repeatedly blasted the bastards. However the world doesn't need a war with them. We don't need Iraq 2.0 with Syria. ISIS is stronger because of the Iraq invasion, hell they didn't even exist until much after the Invasion. Side note the group that became Al Qaeda was given arms and money to fight the "godless communists" in Russia. This wasn't done on purpose, but they don't know what the fuck they're doing! They are known to arm groups that later turn against them. Today great ally Saudi Arabia is arming Al Qaeda. The US has been known to arm groups that FIGHT EACH OTHER! The West should leave the Middle East the fuck alone. By the way drones kill 90% innocent civilians and Buffoon has increased them by 400%. If America wants to send missiles to those who kill innocent civilians; it should start with the Pentagon!
Neil Gorsuch has been confirmed as the new Supreme Court Justice which basically replaces one right wing zealot with another. The real story here is Democrates are useless fuckwits. The Republicans had no problem taking away the filibuster, why didn't the Democrates? Because they're useless fuckwits. In their mild defense the Republicans didn't hold hearings.
